Post 43

 Still working on The Elemental Detective. I want to be finished with it so I can get on to Book 4 of Elemental Voice but the characters aren't cooperating. And the deadline for TED is coming up fast. 

When my muse dropped off TED, she also deposited The Null Agent story idea before disappearing for a while. She came back but totally ignored those two stories and started talking about Book 4.  But I had already gotten half way through TED and wanted to finish it before concentrating on Book 4. I had made plans to publish it with the Book Goddess and everything. Now my muse is in a snit.

So both my characters and my muse are being cagey with me.

On the brighter side, I have a work-in-progress website. It is under my T. L. Riffey umbrella but will have all my books on it and hopefully my extras that I have here and on my other blogs.  More on this later. 

I got a new review this weekend(May 14). First review since I started pimping Elemental Voice, though I've gotten a few ratings along the way. I like to thank those who take the time to review and rate my books. So Thank You so very much. It makes an Author's day to receive a rating or a review.

This is the blog for my elemental books. These books will all be variants on elemental magic.

The original series is an Urban Fantasy called Elemental Voice. It is set in a world where psychics consult regularly with the police and vampires live next door. The FMC Sara reads the earth like a medium hears the dead and finds dead bodies for the local sheriff's office.

The first book is called Earth Reader. Fire Walker (book2) and Water Ferrier (book3) are out. Number 4 (Wind Whisperer) is in the works. There is to be five books in this series. I may branch out to more books with these characters, but whether I will put them in the EV series or start a new series I don't know yet. 

These older books are in what I call 'movie style' or pulp. Fast paced and action oriented with little description and a lot of dialog. They are also my first books, full of my inexperience but also full of my creativity. I have left them as is. Sentimentality. The rest of the books will be in the same style.

There is also a 'companion' series to EV. Right now I have the ideas for just three books, but with my muse being so fickle who knows if more may come.

Both Deadly Sands and Deadly Flames are out. Book 3 of the trilogy is in the queue. These books go into the relationship a bit more and are set around vacations that turn into busman's holidays. Can her vampire FBI agent boyfriend keep her safe when death joins them on holiday?

I will be adding more books as they come up in the queue.  Some will be standalones and others will be series standalones.
