Post 22

Hootin-n-Hollarin went well sale wise. I made back the table fee and book cost with a little left over. There would have been more of a profit if I hadn't indulged in festival food. While I didn't make a lot comparably to others I made more than I have up until now this year. This is one of the reasons why I like in-person sales, the other is I meet readers. Which brings up the fact I had two repeat visitors and they promised to visit again next year if I showed.

I think I will do next year.

I'm also still working on Book 2 of Ghostwolf Series. It's coming along nicely.  I'm on the twentieth version of it's cover though.

The Dragon's Keeper and Deadly Flames are still in proofreading/editing.

The short story collection Death in the Cards is out in paperback now. Three short stories about the lethalness of a game of cards. Trying my hands at short mystery stories with a Poirot vibe. Check it out at DCard.

Now on to the regularly scheduled post:

I have an Urban Fantasy series called Elemental Voice. It is set in a world where psychics consult regularly with the police and vampires live next door. Sara reads the earth like a medium hears the dead.

These older books are in what I call 'movie style' or pulp. Fast paced and action oriented with little description. They are also my first books, full of my inexperience but also full of my creativity. I have left them as is. Sentimentality.

The first one is called Earth Reader. Targeted by a vicious killer, can the sexy vampire FBI agent keep her from being put in the ground permanently?

Fire Walker and Water Ferrier are out. Number 4 is in the works.

There is also a companion series to EV. Deadly Sands is out and Deadly Flames will be soon. They go into the relationship a bit more and are set around vacations, that turn into busman's holidays. Can her vampire FBI agent boyfriend keep her safe when death joins them on holiday?

Mortal Voice is an Urban Fantasy set in the contemporary world circa 2018. So, sorry no vampires here, lol. But Jaci does have the same 'gift'.

MV is the first book in a series of its own. She sees secrets in the Earth. Will she find the evidence in time or is she destined for a grave herself?

I have some books out under the brand T. L. Riffey as well.

These books have different styles. I've learned a bit and trying out new things.

The first is a Fallborn Book or dragon fantasy called The Last Dragon Kin. He's the last dragon. Can Beka keep him out of the king's hands or are they both destined to die?

More of these dragon books are in the works. The Dragon's Keeper is coming out soon and the next book is in the queue.

The second is a Sci-fi called Resurgent about turning points in both a person and a society. A galactic death cult plans to take over her adopted planet. But she's determined it won't be the next sacrifice in their deadly game.

The next book after Resurgent in the Time-Lost series is started.

Raven Manor is the first book in an Urban Fantasy series called Ghostwolf. It is a bit different, it has a unique take on werewolves. The book is set in the contemporary world but without the pandemic. I figured the werewolves were enough, :) Though they're hidden and not out.

Detective Hanlan didn't believe in fairytales until one tried to kill him. Will he be able to handle this deadly new world or will he become a story himself?

I am working on Book 2 right now.

Post 21

September is here.

Which means only 15 more days til Hootin' an Hollarin'. Got the confirmation on the booth as well as the booth number. Now comes the prep. Getting everything ready; canopy, table, chair, table decor, and books. I'm also going to have my beaded bookmarks on sale at the booth as well. So I'm going to be busy for the next few weeks.

I'm also still working on Book 2 of Ghostwolf Series. It's coming along nicely.
