I was supposed to have two more in-person events before the end of the year. But Triple Treasure Marketplace at Hardenville, MO on November 9th got washed out. We had torrant rain a few days before and they were calling for rain that day so it was called off. Next will be the Christmas market downtown on December 6th. I reserved a spot for that. And I'm prepping for that. Hopefully it won't be too cold as the event is outside. UPDATE 12/16: I was only at the Christmas mart for 2 hours as it got cold once the sun went down, not that it was warm before but it got real cold. I made one sale and handed out some cards.
I'm still looking for events close to me to vend at but when you live in the middle of nowhere Missouri it's hard. Most events happen on the East or West coasts and the cost of travel would be prohibitive. But my dream is to go to JordanCon at least one year as a goer then as a vendor. Gotta have a dream right?!
Last month I sent out my second Newsletter and did my second batch of promos on Book Funnel. My numbers were fair for the newsletter sign up but I didn't sell any books. I signed up for more promos this month. Hopefully I do better this month.
Book 3 of Ghostwolf is started and sitting in the queue next to Book 5 of Elemental Voice. I'm still looking for names for centuries-old vampires for Book 5 of Elemental Voice. Should your name(s) be picked, the name of course will be used and you will be mentioned in the author notes. I am going to do Book 3 of EV companion series and Book 2 of Bone Whisperer next. Hopefully that will give me more time to suss out Book 5 of EV.
My T.L. books(the two books Ghostwolf series, the two Fallborn books, and the one Time-Lost series book) are not in KU as they are out on Ingram Spark. Several AMZ accounts have been closed due to piracy and I don't want mine to be one. That way all my eggs are not in one basket, incase the basket gets snatched(terminated) I don't know if I want to put the rest of the series out on IS when I pub them. I may change things a bit. I will see.
I will keep you posted on that.
As of right now there are two novellas, a 'companion' series to EV, Deadly Sands and Deadly Flames. Right now I have the ideas for just the four novellas, two of which are published as stated, but with my muse being so fickle who knows if more may come. The third novella is started as I mentioned above. Book 5 of EV is slated to at least be started next year though.
You can check out the 4 books and 2 novellas I have out. I have put them back in KU at least for now. Here is the link to these books if you have not already checked them out. UF Books
They are set in a world where psychics consult regularly with the police and vampires live next door. The FMC Sara reads the earth like a medium hears the dead and finds dead bodies for the local sheriff's office in the first book then works with her vampire FBI agent fiancee in the later books. There is to be five books in this series. I may come back to this world and do a new series. Depends on my muse and time. I have soo many books in my writing queue.
I wrote a little drabble backstory of how Sara got her gift. Hope you enjoy it. Link: Drabble
Have you checked out my website? Here is the link to the website: The Rook. Check it out and tour a world where psychics work regularly with the police and vampires live next door, a world where werewolves hide among us and can manipulate energy(magic), two worlds with dragons, and a world where a Time-Lost tries to stop the past from repeating itself.
These older books are in what I call 'movie style' or pulp. Fast paced and action oriented with little description and a lot of dialog. They are also my first books, full of my inexperience but also full of my creativity. I have left them as is. Sentimentality. The rest of the books will be in the same style.
I'll try to update periodically. But this blog may get dusty. And repetitive.
