Post 41

 I'm still working on The Elemental Detective novella. Getting closer to the end or so the characters are telling me. This is more of a prequel like novella now. It's setting up and introducing the characters. But I don't have any ideas yet for more books in this world. My muse just dropped this TED Drabble and a few incomplete scenes, then left.  And the characters are only telling me stuff in splurts.  

Next book up is Book 4 (wind whisperer)of Elemental Voice. I moved it up as I've had movement on the EV books. 

I did the Free Author Ad Profit Challenge with Brian Cohen with the first book of EV, Earth Reader these last two weeks. I already had some ads(Category) but this challenge got me in the groove to do more. I need to keep at it with this book and the others as Brian recommends. I have a hard time finding relevant keywords and have to do it manually so I dislike doing the ads. However I know I need to keep at it if I want results.

This is the blog for my elemental books. These books will all be variants on elemental magic.

The original series is an Urban Fantasy called Elemental Voice. It is set in a world where psychics consult regularly with the police and vampires live next door. The FMC Sara reads the earth like a medium hears the dead and finds dead bodies for the police.

The first book is called Earth Reader. Fire Walker (book2) and Water Ferrier (book3) are out. Number 4 (Wind Whisperer) is in the works. There is to be five books in this series. I may branch out to more books with these characters, but whether I will put them in the EV series or start a new series I don't know yet. 

These older books are in what I call 'movie style' or pulp. Fast paced and action oriented with little description and a lot of dialog. They are also my first books, full of my inexperience but also full of my creativity. I have left them as is. Sentimentality. The rest of the books will be in the same style.

There is also a 'companion' series to EV. Right now I have the ideas for just three books, but with my muse being so fickle who knows if more may come.

Both Deadly Sands and Deadly Flames are out. Book 3 of the trilogy is in the works. They go into the relationship a bit more and are set around vacations that turn into busman's holidays. Can her vampire FBI agent boyfriend keep her safe when death joins them on holiday?

I will be adding more books as they come up in the queue.  Some will be standalones and others will be series standalones.

I'm coming along on The Elemental Detective novella. Had a little tangent though so I'm a little behind where I should be on it. Still haven't got the blurb done yet. Writing blurbs are harder than than doing the whole book. It's supposed to be a teaser to get someone to buy your book, but not a description of the book. My first ones are always either too long or too short and too descripty. 

Here's a bit about the world.  This is just the basic idea I had of the world.  TED Drabble . 

Next book up is Book 4 (wind whisperer)of Elemental Voice. I moved it up as I've had movement on the EV books. Chapter 1 is already done. I get little tidbits, usually a sentence or two, now and then and put it down. Once TED is done, I'll turn my whole attention on Wind Whisperer. But summer's coming up and I usually have less writing time during it as I help my parents with outdoor chores.

 I finished Book 2 of Ghostwolf!

So I'm turning more attention to The Elemental Detective novella. I got the cover done, but haven't really worked on the blurb. Plus I'm still writing it as it was my writer's block story.
